Standardized calls and the use of a common language allow square dancing to be shared with a worldwide community.  The same calls are used in the United States, England, Belgium, and Japan, to name just a few.  The standardized calls are divided into programs and are provided courtesy of CALLERLAB.  See their copyright notice for details.  The Basic and Mainstream definitions are shown below.  The Plus and Advanced definitions are also available from CALLERLAB.

The definitions provide a structured formal definition of each call.  Our beginner’s classes provide live instruction to turn the formal definitions into lively, fun dance moves.
